Our Twistys review needs a clear warning up front: Twistys has a loyal following and a deep glamour archive, but when we checked the public tour its newest release was roughly two years old, and Wikipedia states that the site is no longer updating. It is also now sold as part of Spicevids, so a Twistys sign-up buys a multi-studio bundle. If you want fresh weekly content from Twistys itself, this is the wrong place; if you want the archive and the bundle, read on. Visit Twistys to check what is offered today.
Twistys review: overview and history
Twistys launched in 2001 and was bought by Manwin, later MindGeek and now Aylo, in 2011 when it acquired the assets of Carsed Marketing. It is operated today by Aylo Premium Ltd. Wikipedia describes the brand’s content focus as shifting over time, which explains why the archive feels mixed:
| Period | Focus |
|---|---|
| From launch in 2001 | Softcore, glamour, solo and girl-girl content |
| 2011 to 2019 | More boy-girl content added |
| From 2020 | Return to all-girl glamour and lesbian scenes |
This review is based on the public tour, the Spicevids terms and support pages, and encyclopedia coverage, not on hands-on use of the member area.
Content and niches
The channel menu shows how the brand is organised: Twistys, When Girls Play, Turning Twistys, Twistys Hard, Feature Film, Nicole Graves, Twistys Teasers, Euro Foxes and Busty Ones. There are also Treats pages and a Twistys Treat of the Month section, a tradition that Wikipedia dates to 2005, in which a featured model gets interviews, pictorials and videos. A member vote for Treat of the Year began in 2009, and Wikipedia lists winners through 2019 and says none has been announced since.
The strongest fit is for people who like a glamour-led, girl-girl and softcore-adjacent look. If that is your preference, our best lesbian porn sites and best European porn sites rankings include more active options. All performers are adults.
Is Twistys still updating?
This is the question most readers need answered, and the evidence points to “not really”. The tour’s “Latest Videos” section lists eight recent releases at roughly weekly intervals, with the newest dated at the very end of December, roughly two years before this review. Wikipedia independently says the site is no longer updating. We could not find an Aylo announcement confirming a shutdown or a relaunch, so we describe it as an archive rather than declaring it closed.
The tour’s meta description still claims “over 3700+ models and 46000+ scenes” and refers to “over 18 years” of content. We could not verify those figures, and they may count the wider Spicevids library rather than Twistys alone, so we do not rely on them. The honest framing is a deep back catalog with no fresh additions.
The tour’s own view counts tell a similar story. The top-rated list is dominated by older scenes with view counts between roughly 100K and 260K, while the eight newest releases show counts from a few thousand up to about 28K. That gap suggests the audience’s attention moved on well before the updates stopped, which is another reason to treat Twistys as a nostalgic archive rather than a growth site.
You can check the status yourself in under a minute:
- Open the Latest Videos list on the Twistys tour and read the release dates.
- Compare the newest date with today’s date and with the Treat of the Month page.
- If nothing recent appears, decide whether the archive and the Spicevids bundle are enough for you.
That simple check is more reliable than any headline library figure, and it is a habit worth applying to every subscription site.
What the Spicevids bundle adds
The Twistys footer says “Twistys is part of Spicevids” and that creating an account grants “full access to the complete Spicevids library at no additional cost”. Spicevids advertises more than 250,000 HD videos from over 1,000 channels, plus no ads. In practice that bundle is the main reason a Twistys membership can still offer value, because it supplies the fresh content the Twistys tour no longer does.
Our Babes review covers the sibling brand that shares the same Spicevids membership, and it is the closer match if you want a similar glamour style. For a stylish, high-end alternative from a different group, see the Vixen review.
Video quality and player
Spicevids’ metadata mentions 720p, 1080p and 4K, but we could not confirm what resolution the older Twistys scenes use. Many were produced years ago, and archive material may top out at HD. Playback is browser-based, and the support pages do not mention a standalone app or downloads, so check the plan page if either matters to you.
Twistys price and membership plans
We are not quoting a Twistys price, because the amount only appears during checkout and we found no reliable public price listing. The Spicevids terms apply, and they say trials can last two, three or seven days, or as specified at sign-up. A small verification charge may be made and reversed, and your card may be authorised for roughly the monthly fee at registration, which can reduce your available balance during the trial even though you are not charged.
Because the Twistys catalog is static, do not pay for a long plan on the strength of Twistys alone. A one-month stay is enough to judge the archive and the bundle. Our Twistys discount guide explains how the lower-priced landing offers work, and why we found no official coupon codes.
Billing, privacy and cancellation
The footer says “We use Probiller as our trusted biller” and lists Vendo and Segpay as authorised processors. The Spicevids terms add Aylo Billing, AyloBill, WTS and Epoch as descriptors that may appear on your statement depending on your location, and the support FAQ describes billing as discreet. Your welcome email names the processor for your account.
Cancellation runs through the Spicevids support site: the Cancel section, the Support link in the members’ area, direct contact with support, or the link in your receipt. Refund requests go through support, partially used memberships are not refunded, card refunds must be requested within 120 days, and support is staffed Monday to Friday in Eastern business hours. Because it is a trial-led product, set a reminder before the trial ends. Our Probiller cancellation guide explains what to do if a charge slips through.
Who Twistys is for, and alternatives
Twistys is for nostalgic fans of the brand, viewers who like classic glamour and girl-girl material, and anyone who wants the Spicevids bundle and sees Twistys as one part of it. It is not for people who want a weekly release schedule or a single, actively growing site.
- Dedicated girl-girl site: our Slayed review.
- Same bundle, similar tone: the Babes review linked above.
Verdict: is Twistys worth it?
Only as an archive. We rate Twistys 6.4 out of 10: the brand has a strong identity and a long history, and the Spicevids bundle adds value. We take most of the points off for the lack of new releases on the public tour, unverifiable library claims and an unpublished price. If you try it, stay for one month, judge it on the bundle rather than on Twistys alone, and cancel before the first renewal if it does not fit. Visit Twistys to see the current offer.
